Nicolai Hinrichsen is a Partner at Miller Mayer. Mr. Hinrichsen has over a decade of experience in immigration law, with a focus in EB-5 immigration. He represents regional centers and developers in structuring EB-5 compliant projects either through initial regional center designation applications or by partnering with existing regional centers. He also represents individual investors obtaining permanent resident status through either regional center or direct EB-5 investments. Mr. Hinrichsen regularly speaks at EB-5 events throughout Asia.

She has extensive experience working with post-doctoral researchers, professors, engineers, scientists, scholars, and individuals of extraordinary ability. Ms. Bruno also represents individuals on a variety of family-based immigration and naturalization matters. Prior to joining Miller Mayer, Ms. Bruno worked as an associate attorney at an immigration firm in the Chicago area. She is fluent in Spanish.
Xiayue (Summer) Yin is an Associate in Miller Mayer’s Immigration Practice Group. Ms. Yin represents clients in a wide array of immigrant and non-immigrant visa categories including employment-based and family-based green card petitions, non-immigrant visa classifications such as H1B, L-1, E-2 and etc.
In the realm of employment-based immigration, Ms. Yin has advised numerous foreign investors and entrepreneurs on complicated EB-5 source of funds and business documentation. She assists individuals with extraordinary abilities in obtaining U.S. permanent residence through the EB-1 category. Ms. Yin also has profound experience in advising green card holders of properly maintaining U.S. permanent resident status when they need to temporarily relocate overseas.
Ms. Yin is a graduate of Cornell Law School. She’s licensed in New York State and P.R. China. Before joining Miller Mayer, Ms. Yin practiced corporate law in a renowned law firm in Shanghai, China. She is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese.
Navigating the New EB-5 Regulations
On July 24, 2019, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services published new, final regulations that will significantly alter the Immigrant Investor Program (EB-5 Program). The new regulations vastly increase the minimum investment amount to $900,000, change how targeted employment areas are defined and designated, and allow for priority date retention, among other major changes that will impact immigrant investors, regional centers, and U.S. workers.
