DUTIES: Under supervision of lawyers, prepare documents needed for filings with government agencies including legal briefs, forms, and correspondence; manage high volume of cases including monitoring and meeting deadlines, communicating with clients, agents, coworkers, and government agencies, and coordinating preparation and receipt of evidence with multiple parties, and; conduct research.
This is an in-office only position at our Ithaca, NY location. 1 day a week remote work is an option, however.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate’s degree or higher
- Strong research and writing skills
- Ability to handle high volume case load while maintaining high level of productivity.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated attention to detail.
- Flexibility and initiative regarding assignments for self and team.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two or more years of experience as a paralegal in a professional office
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a business related field

Miller Mayer, LLP is seeking a full-time associate in our immigration practice group. Our firm’s immigration clients include hospitals, universities, technology companies, EB-5 regional centers, developers, individual clients, and families. Duties include counseling clients, preparation and review of relevant immigration filings (including PERMS and H-1B petitions), communication with prospective new clients, and supervising legal assistants as needed. At least three years of relevant experience preferred. Billable hours requirements are reasonable and the salary competitive. Fully-remote option is not available for this position.
