Miller Mayer Immigration attorney Steve Yale-Loehr was quoted by the Cornell Daily Sun in “‘I’m Living History’: A Student’s Journey Out of Kabul as It Fell.” The article describes the difficulties a Cornell student had in returning to campus from Afghanistan. The end of the article expands beyond the individual student’s experience to summarize the work the law school and Cornell are doing generally to help Afghans at risk. Mr. Yale-Loehr said, “We now are doing over 50 humanitarian parole applications for Afghans at risk, and are starting a formal clinic [in the] spring semester to continue this work. It is heartwarming to see the enthusiasm and energy of the many law students volunteering their time and talent to help get people out of Afghanistan.”
