Governor Cuomo’s Office for New Americans has launched its second round of NaturalizeNY assisting New Yorkers with the path to citizenship. As a result, New York State will lottery off 1,500 vouchers that cover the cost of applying for U.S. citizenship (worth $725) as well as all associated legal services.
The lottery is free to enter and open to all citizenship-eligible legal permanent residents (green card holders) residing in New York State who meet certain income requirements. To learn more about the lottery and to register, go to http://www.NaturalizeNY.org. You can also call (800) 566-7636.
When you register for the lottery, you will be asked a short series of questions to determine your eligibility for the program. All information provided will be stored securely and is strictly confidential. The deadline for registering is July 28, 2017.
