Laurie is a partner at Miller Mayer LLP concentrating her practice on labor and employment law representing management. Her practice includes public and private sector clients of various sizes, local and throughout New York State. Laurie advises her clients in general employment questions, such as at-will employment, wage and hour questions, employee handbooks, policies and procedures, employee benefits, such as unemployment compensation eligibility, and provides representation in claims brought under the state and federal employment discrimination statutes. Laurie assists clients whose employees are represented by various labor organizations with contract administration, contract negotiation and grievance arbitration. A graduate of Temple University School of Law, Laurie worked with major labor law firms in Philadelphia and Seattle before moving to Ithaca. Prior to working at Miller Mayer, Laurie was an associate at the Ithaca office of Harris Beach, LLP.
